The Human Rights Review Panel (Panel) held its 7th regular session in Prishtinë/Priština from 6 to 8 June 2011.

The Panel noted that twenty five (25) complaints are pending with the Panel and it took decisions in four (4) of those complaints. These decisions will be transmitted to the complainants as well as the Head of Mission (HoM), EULEX Kosovo and they will be published on the Panel’s website upon translation into the Albanian and Serbian languages.

One (1) further complaint was communicated to the HOM for his observations and comments on the admissibility and merits of that case. The examination of that case will resume at a later session of the Panel upon receipt of the observations and comments from the HOM and the complainant.

In addition to examining complaints, the Panel continued with its ongoing information campaign with the presentation of a lecture on the Inheritance Rights of  Women in Kosovo. This event was attended by some twenty five (25) persons who subsequently participated in a lively discussion on the issue.

The next Panel session takes place from 12 to 15 September 2011.

Please see www.hrrp.eu for more information on the Panel.
